Philosophy
The philosophy of Snaps is to catch your children enjoying themselves, being themselves. To achieve this goal, I am happy to come to your home, or meet you at your favorite spot - the beach, the park, the playground, etc. I believe all families are beautiful and am happy to accommodate any special needs.
I also believe these are YOUR moments, so all proofs from any photoshoot will be provided on a disc and are YOURS to keep. I am happy to help you with prints and enlargements, but all images are formated so that you can order prints yourself from any processor.
I believe everyone photographs well when they are happy and having fun, so be ready to play. We will work together to capture your child or the entire family doing whatever they do best - tossing a ball around, running in the sand, playing in the snow or reading bedtime stories. In the end, you will have photos which celebrate your kid being a kid, and beautiful casual portraits worthy of framing or gifts.
About Us
Photographer: Keira Schwarz
I studied photography throughout high school and college, and won several amateur photography awards for candid photos and landscapes. After graduating from the University of Virginia with a liberal arts degree, I continued to pursue photography as a hobby while working in grant writing and interior design (not at the same time!). After having my own baby and staying home for a year, I rediscovered the joy of photographing children. Now, as a stay-at-home mom, I have finally decided to fulfill a lifelong goal, and focus on photography as a career.
I am assisted in the editing process by my husband, Mike. Although Mike is an engineer by trade, he also has a strong interest in photography. While working in New York City, he attended photography classes at The New School. He is quite talented behind the lens, and has a great critical eye. We have been fighting over the camera for years.
